# ISTDP Australia & New Zealand > Training in Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP) for registered mental > health practitioners across Australia, New Zealand and internationally. Operated by > ISTDP Services Pty Ltd. Founded 2010 by Julie Cochrane, who introduced ISTDP to > Australia in 1999. Trainings are certified by the International Experiential Dynamic > Therapy Association (IEDTA) and recognised by The ISTDP Institute. This is a training organisation, not a therapy clinic. Enquiries about training are answered at contact@istdp.com.au. ## Training pathways - [Pre-Core Training](https://www.istdp.com.au/training#pathways): three-day hybrid introduction to ISTDP theory and technique, for qualified clinicians new to the model. Cohorts of 20–25. Recommended before Core Training but not a prerequisite. - [Core Training](https://www.istdp.com.au/training#pathways): three years, four 3-day blocks per year, hybrid. Monthly online group supervision. Twelve didactic modules. Cohorts capped at 10. - [Advanced Training](https://www.istdp.com.au/training#pathways): three years for Core graduates, co-taught with Jon Frederickson and/or Johannes Ermagan. Requires completion of a certified Core Training. - [Supervision](https://www.istdp.com.au/training#supervision): video-based, individual or small group, online. Recording your own sessions is required. Open to clinicians who have completed Pre-Core, an introductory workshop, Core or Advanced. Eligibility: trainings are open to registered mental health practitioners (psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, psychotherapists and counsellors registered with AHPRA, AASW, PACFA, ACA or NMBA).
